Nancy Davis Reagan was an American actress and the wife of the 40th President of the United States, Ronald Reagan. She was the First Lady of the United States from 1981 to 1989. She was born in New York City. She is widely considered to be one of the most influential First Lady's of the modern era. Mrs. Reagan really acted a catalyst for future women to assume her title. Included in her accomplishments in this arena is her prodding towards her husband to open the DIALOGUE with the U.S. and the Soviet Union.
