"Williams, Robin SALEM -- Robin (Bridge) Williams, 45, died Oct. 16, 2008, with her husband at her side, after a long and valiant battle with lung cancer. She was born and raised in Reading, Mass., and moved to Salem in 1988. Mrs. William worked at M/A Com, Lowell, Mass., recently receiving a 25-year award commemorating her company loyalty. She held many positions at the company, most recently as a certified Microsoft P.C. technician. She had a special bond with her beloved horse, Calloways Collectable (a.k.a. Louie), an American saddlebred she showed at New England competitions, winning many blue ribbons. She belonged to New England Horseman's Council, North Shore Horsemen's Association, New Hampshire Horse and Trail Association, New England Saddlebred Association and United States Equestrian Federation among other equine groups. Mrs. Williams belonged to Derry Salem Elks Club 2226 and Harley Owner's Group. Her ""disease to please"" attitude touched many lives. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. The family includes her devoted husband of 18 years, Brian Williams; her sisters, Carol Pelosi of Reading, Mass., Valerie Bridge of Raymond, Lauri Azari of Houston, and Janet Polachek of Perskasie, Pa.; her brother, William Bridge III of Stoneham, Mass.; three stepchildren, Julie Williams, Tracy Donahue and Kim Ackerman; five stepgrandchildren; friends Gwen Brainard, William and Francis Hildebrandt; and her beloved cat Rusty. SERVICES: Calling hours are Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, followed by a funeral service at 5 p.m. in the funeral home.
